Under The Horizon is here to serve. We are a privately own pottery and arts studio that chooses to serve the community.
We serve through well planned and organized outreach programs. Using our facility and our talents to provide a bereavement program and food-insufficiency support.
Outreach – Children’s Bereavement Art Group
CBAG works with children dealing with numerous types of loss including but not limited to death, divorce, and abandonment. Through faith, encouragement, fellowship, creative expression, and friendship, the program aims to instill hope for the future.
Founded in 2013 by Under The Horizon, CBAG is an outreach program that instills hope in children who have suffered loss. CBAG is provided at no cost to the families.
Children of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend, at no cost. CBAG does not provide therapy. Registration is required.
Outreach – Blessing Boxes
Under the Horizon and A/V Solutions, LLC have developed a program to book-end the amazing back-pack food efforts within the Upper Adams community to help eradicate hunger in local families during the long holidays and summer breaks.
Established in 2016, after seeing an important community need, Blessing Boxes has evolved into a 3-part program. Blessing Boxes services food insufficient families over the school’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Summer breaks. These times can prove to be a challenging time for families that are food insufficient. The Blessing Box program gives children of food insecure families a food box during these long school breaks.
